Jake Bugg out today

A “BOLT” OUT OF THE BLUE: Jake Bugg’s self-titled U.S. debut hits today on Island/IDJ, buoyed by a ubiquitous Gatorade TV spot featuring the track “Lightning Bolt,” along with a rare four-star lead review in Rolling Stone. In the review, Will Hermes hails the album as “a small revelation” from a 19-year-old artist who is “crazy fully formed, stepping into a journey that should be worth following.” The release is being supported by an onslaught of upcoming TV performances for the U.K.-based prodigy, including Letterman tomorrow night, Ellen on April 15 and The Tonight Show on April 22. And next month, Bugg will be MTV's Artist to Watch. He’ll perform at Coachella on April 12 and 19. (4/9a)
