TOM TOM CLUB: When Florida Georgia Line snagged the Breakthrough Video and Duo Video of the Year for their smash "Cruise" last night at the CMT Awards (click on the link for a complete list of winners), one record exec was especially delighted. That would be Republic EVP Tom Mackay, who signed the act and A&R’d the project. Mackay, who still has time left on his contract, has been contacted by the head of a rival label and may well have a big career decision to make, writes industry insider I.B. Bad in his latest column, which posts tomorrow morning in the immediate vicinity, filled with the sort of scuttlebutt you won’t find anywhere else. Just sayin’. (6/6a)
