Kanye LP will street as scheduled

YEEZUS, THAT’S CUTTING IT CLOSE: In the wake of news reports that Kanye West was still tweaking his June 18 release Yeezus as recently as last week—going so far as to bring in producer Rick Rubin (see story)—we asked our contact at Island Def Jam if the physical release date is in jeopardy. We were assured that every retail outlet will get the release, both physical and digital, on schedule. IDJ has the masters in hand and is going to hit their manufacturing deadlines. In other rush-to-deadline news, Page Six reports this morning that West, who celebrated a birthday on Saturday and headlined Governors Ball on Sunday, also found time to shoot “an American Psycho-inspired music video” over the weekend co-starring a couple of guys whose names will be familiar to regular viewers of The Kardashians.
