Petty, Goldenvoice offer full refunds for abruptly ended show

YOU’RE GONNA GET IT: In a flashback to the artist’s historic battles on behalf of fans, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and Goldenvoice are offering full refunds to all those who bought tickets for the band’s show last Saturday night (6/8) at the Fonda Theatre, which was cut short 90 minutes into the scheduled two-hour performance when fire marshals determined that the floor of the venue was overcrowded. The band’s announcement, disseminated on Tuesday afternoon, also stated that Ticketmaster has agreed to refund all incurred fees. Those who attended the show can request a refund with proof of purchase any time prior to Sept. 10. Ticketmaster purchasers can obtain a refund by calling TM customer support at 800-653-8000 between 9AM-9PM (PDT) or by emailing http://ticketmasterus.custhelp.com/app/askNoTabs. Orders will be refunded to the credit card originally used for purchase. Attendees who bought tickets that night are required to bring back their ticket stubs to the Fonda starting today between 9:30 and 5 for a full refund. (6/12a)
