DO ZOMBIES HAVE B.O.? They do indeed, to the tune of a higher-than-projected $66m, as World War Z proves the naysayers wrong, with great word of mouth and boffo reviews, as they used to say back in the day. (It’s high on our must-see list, for sure.) But the Mark Forster film carried on the broad shoulders of Brad Pitt wasn’t able to surge past the reliable family fare of Monsters University (must’ve been Randy Newman’s score that cinched it). Man of Steel was no shrinking violet in its second week, and there were enough returning stoners hitting the cineplex with their Gpens to keep This Is the End in the Top 5. Now You See Me, in case you’d forgotten, is the one with magicians pulling a series of “now you see it, now you don’t” heists—get it? How do they come up with this stuff? (6/24a)
