JAY-Z EVERYWHERE: The Jay-Z promotion is prompting a flood of online activity, with users of the Samsung app forced to share on Facebook or Twitter in order to access content such as song lyrics. Meanwhile, much buzz about the non-involvement of Rick Rubin in the album, given his prominent appearance (mostly lying on a couch) in the promotional TV spot for Magna Carta. Rubin admitted in an XXL interview that his head was too much in the Kanye record to focus on the "traditional hip-hop" of Jay-Z's new work. (7/2a)
