Chart recap

CHART-O-RAMA: Guess what, boys and girls. That new Jay-Z album you may have heard about has a very good chance of topping this week’s chart—especially considering no other album will come close to 100k. We're now confident the Roc Nation event record will finish with at least 500k in traditional sales—but how far north of a half million will it go? There are two other debuts worth mentioning: Ciara will give Epic its biggest bow in some time, landing in the neighborhood of 55-60k, while KidinaKorner/Interscope’s Skylar Grey (who counts Eminem as a fan) is trending toward 18-21k. For more new and future album releases, with salient details on each, check out our handy-dandy Upcoming Releases grid, which lives in the sales tab above. (7/15a)
