Labrinth on Today
MORNING GLORY: Buzzing RCA artist Labrinth made an appearance on The Today Show yesterday after being anointed Elvis Duran’s Artist of The Month and gave the TV audience a taste of “Beneath Your Beautiful,” his collab with fellow Brit Emeli Sandé. That brief solo piano rendering of the ballad was sufficiently seductive to take the track from #69 to #37 shortly after the performance, which you can take a look at here. As you can see from the segment, Hoda was very impressed, and she’s quite the tastemaker for the crowd that keeps watching the show through the 10 AM hour. (7/17a)
