1D beats Miley's VEVO record

MOST WATCHED "EVER": 10.9 million views in 24 hours. We'll say that again: 10.9 million views in 24 hours. That's the new single-day VEVO viewing record set by Syco/Columbia's One Direction, whose "Best Song Ever" is now the site's most-watched clip ever. The previous champ, of course, was RCA's Miley Cyrus, whose "We Can't Stop" twerked up 10.7m views in its first day. If you didn't catch the "Best Song Ever" video when we posted it yesterday, you can find it here. One Direction is currently on a sold-out U.S. tour; their feature film, This Is Us, opens on 8/3, and they'll kick off the Teen Choice Awards on 8/11 with a perf of the song. (7/23p)
