Columbia softball winner

INDUSTRY BALLS, PART 5,396: As we noted last week, Columbia's annual "company meetings" were merely an elaborate corporate excuse for a good old-fashioned softball tournament. The winners of said tourney? Columbia Red, led by Ashley Newton's A&R staff, seen here accepting a trophy (with requisite humility) from label chief Rob Stringer and EVP/GM Joel Klaiman. We're told Harley Wertheimer was series MVP. The team should not be confused with Colombia Red, a potent strain used during "company meetings" at UMPG. (7/29a)
