MONDAY MORNING CHART PREVIEW: Blurred Lines indeed. It seems like only a week and a half ago that the analysts—including our own—were asking whether it would break 100k… Oh wait, it was just a week and a half ago. Since then, the forecasts have continued inching up, and now, it appears the Star Trak/Interscope release will blow past the 140k upper end of our midweek projection. Wherever sales wind up, the total will definitely give Thicke his career-best first week. The same with Prospect Park’s Five Finger Death Punch and Strange Music’s Tech N9ne, this week’s expected second- and third-place finishers. So how how high will Blurred Lines go? Higher than the UMPG security staff’s grateful clientele? Action to come, boys and girls—now, everybody just keep your clothes on, OK? (8/5a)
