Brian Frank to head marketing at WBR

WHAT’S UP, DOC? Warner Bros. Records has named Brian Frank SVP Marketing & Strategy, reporting directly to Cameron Strang, who now holds the title of Chairman/CEO of WBR as well as Warner/Chappell. Frank was previously Global Head of Content & EVP of Beats Music/codename Daisy, after working as Head of Rock & Alternative Marketing at Interscope. “Brian shares our unique vision for building a forward-thinking home for extraordinary talent,” said Strang, putting down the carrot he’d been chomping on. “He will be an enormous asset in harnessing new technologies to create meaningful creative and commercial opportunities on our artists’ behalf, and we’re excited for him to join us at Warner Bros. Records.” In his statement, Frank said he was attracted to the combination of WB’s “renowned heritage, roster strength and the forward-thinking strides that the company has made under Cameron’s leadership”—though he was disappointed to discover that Foghat was no longer on the label.
