Greenberg Ibiza

WHEN DOES THE FOAM PARTY START? Veteran music exec Jerry Greenberg is launching an EDM-based venture, Pacific Electronic Music, with the Ibiza DJ-producer team the Aristofreeks; the company will have offices in Ibiza and Beverly Hills and be distributed through Kobalt's AWAL. PEM's first signing is Kathy Sledge, lead singer of Sister Sledge, with whom Greenberg worked when their career first flowered. Greenberg's label pedigree as Atlantic prexy includes working with the Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin, among many other bands, but his new project finds him returning to the dance-music scene he helped foster while developing disco acts such as Sister Sledge. Chic and the Trammps. Aristofreek Max Martire has been named CEO of PEM. Greenberg and Sledge both received Legends Awards at Ibiza's 16th Annual DJ Awards last month, an event that marked the launch of the new company. (10/8a)
