Panish may appeal MJ verdict

SEMANTIC SLIPPERY SLOPE: Jackson family attorney Brian Panish says he’s considering appealing last month’s jury verdict because the wording of one of the questions posed to jurors may have blown their case. In a video interview with Black Hollywood Live's Justice Is Served, Panish explained that were confused by the question "Was Dr. Conrad Murray unfit or incompetent to perform the work for which he was hired?" thinking they were being asked to decide whether Murray was competent at the time of his hiring by AEG in May 2009, rather than whether he was competent throughout his employment, which you’ll recall ended rather abruptly less than two months later. Panish says he’d requested that the question be phrased, “Was Murray fit and competent to perform the work for which he was hired at any time,” but the judge overruled him. Sounds like Panish has a potentially arguable point there. (10/16a)
