STRUM AND DRANG: Kings of Leon and Vampire Weekend are among the acts just announced for night one of L.A. PoMo flagship KROQ's 24th annual Almost Acoustic Christmas, which kicks off 12/7 at the Shrine Auditorium; also appearing will be Queens of the Stone Age, AFI, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Grouplove, Foals and New Politics. Proceeds will benefit nonprofits Para Los Ninos and Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center. The Street Team-only Ticketmaster on-sale for the event begins 11/8 at 12pm PST; details on joining the Street Team are available at the KROQ site.
