THE "BORN" SUPREMACY: Here's an item for your 2014 calendar. "A Song Is Born," the 16th Annual GRAMMY Foundation Legacy Concert, goes down on 1/23 at L.A.'s Wilshire Ebell Theatre. Among the artists scheduled to perform during this evening-long celebration of songwriting are Grammy winners and/or nominees Kris Kristofferson, Joy Williams, Skylar Grey, Paul Williams and Dan Wilson. Live performance will be mixed with archival footage from the NARAS preservation archives, Darrell Brown will serve as musical director; Recording Academy and Grammy Foundation President/CEO Neil Portnow will attend, and with some prompting might be persuaded to sing "Wrecking Ball" naked atop a giant gramophone. The event highlights the foundation's work to "safeguard music's history," according to the release. Tickets are a steal at $45 and can be procured here. (11/11p)
