RCA ups Jessie Maldonado

ADVANCED OPERATIONS: Jessie Maldonado has been upped to VP, Promotion Operations at RCA, reporting to EVP/GM Joe Riccitelli. In her new post, Maldonado, previously Senior Director, will handle day-to-day ops at Pop, including NYC and satellite radio, spearheading national radio campaigns, and administrative duties for the label's Global Brand Partnerships department. Her relationship with RCA staff and several key acts (including Justin Timberlake, P!nk and Britney Spears) stretches back to the Jive days; she joined that label in 1998 and has been part of the crew ever since. "Jessie and I have worked together for over 15 years and it has been an absolute pleasure," Riccitelli says. "Besides handling our overall promo operations, she's a big part of our airplay strategies and execution. I'm very proud of her and all of her accomplishments. I have been so looking forward to announcing her stripes." For her part, Maldonado thanked label CEO Peter Edge and President/COO Tom Corson as well as Riccitelli, whom she praised as "a passionate leader," adding, "I just wish he'd stop twerking in the office."
