PAIRING UP: The second set of acts booked for the 1/26 Grammys telecast went out this morning, with Lorde and Katy Perry confirmed as presumably solo performers, while Metallica will be paired with Grammy Cultural Ambassador to China Lang Lang (it says here), Robin Thicke will share the stage with Chicago, and the triumvirate of Stevie Wonder, Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams will join Daft Punk in what promises to be a Ken Ehrlich extravaganza. In case you had better things to do than read this drivel the last two weeks, the Recording Academy has already announced the teaming of Kendrick Lamar with Imagine Dragons, P!nk with Nate Ruess, and a country supersession comprising Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton.
