TAKING IT TO THE LIMIT: If you had a window seat the last time you flew into LAX, you may have spotted a rather large vinyl album spinning below in the vicinity of Inglewood. And not just any vinyl album, but Hotel California. Turns out that this gigantic record—407 feet in diameter and weighing 25 tons, to be exact—is spinning at 17 mph (as opposed to rpm) on the roof of the Fabulous Forum in a promo for the Eagles’ upcoming run at the reopening arena that’s so elaborate it could accurately be called Azoffian in scale. You can’t accuse Swirv of not thinking big. The Eagles will officially reopen the Forum next Wednesday (1/15), and Justin Timberlake will bring his 20/20 Experience World Tour to the renovated landmark on 1/20, which happens to be the beginning of Grammy week, for what it’s worth.
