SOMEHOW, FROZEN GETS HOTTER: Disney's Frozen is already a juggernaut as an animated blockbuster and a mega-soundtrack. So what could cause a fresh avalanche at both theaters and retail? The Frozen Sing-Along, of course, in which on-screen lyrics and a bouncing snowflake let audiences wail along with the songs of Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. "Let It Go," sung by Idina Menzel (and seen above) is a Top 10 single and approaching 1 million in sales. This interactive version of Frozen is now opening on 2,000-plus screens, a staggering second life for an already huge film (it's now over $350m in domestic box office); typically, big new releases start in that many theaters. Could it push the soundtrack to #1 again on next week's chart for Ken Bunt and team, leaving Atlantic's Grammy Nominees comp in its icy wake? (1/31a)
