SXSW

WE BLAME RICK PERRY: The city of Austin's website is warning that the town is close to capacity for events at the upcoming SXSW fest, and that applications for events should be submitted ASAP. Police, fire, EMT and other local responders warn that "Based on current numbers, City officials are forecasting that resources to adequately inspect and manage events during this time period will reach capacity in the coming days." Forewarned is forearmed. More info here. In a related story, Iron Works says their short ribs supply is ample but hot links could be an issue. (1/31p)
