Box Office

YOUR BOX OFFICE: Ride Along enjoyed another weekend atop the box office in a generally lackluster field, although there was something else going on that might've kept people at home (or at least in bars). The Ice Cube-Kevin Hart comedy is now nearing the $100m mark in its third week, and it's worth pointing out that Prospect Park chief Jeff Kwatinetz hooked up Cube with the role. Disney's Frozen, already a monster, actually gained ground this weekend, thanks to those in-theater "sing-along" screenings we told you about last week. Those follow-the-bouncing-snowflake showings added $2.2m to Walt's abundant coffers. Will word of mouth and the lack of Super Bowl competition cause it to snowball next weekend? The Top 10's only debuts were That Awkward Moment and Labor Day, neither of which gained much yardage on first down.

1. Ride Along Universal $12.3m (-42%) 2,867/$4,295 avg. (week 3)
2. Frozen Walt Disney $9.3 (+2%) 2,754/$3,381 avg. (week 11)
3. That Awkward Moment Focus $9m 2,809/$3,208 avg. (debut)
4. The Nut Job Open Road $7.2m (-40%) 3,472/$2,096 avg. (week 3)
5. Lone Survivor Universal $7.1m (-45%) 3,285/$2,180 (week 6)

Frozen's soundtrack, meanwhile, looks to have a lock on this week's Album Sales Chart; look for upcoming developments to kick things up even further. (2/3p)
