Shannon

RETURN OF SUPERSHAN (UPDATE): That didn't take long. After his departure from WPLJ earlier this month, it's now been announced that radio legend Scott Shannon will take over morning drive across town at WCBS starting on 3/3. "Well, my last job lasted 22 years," Shannon tells us. "Hopefully I can hang on to this one just a bit longer." Current morning guy Dan Taylor will take the 10am-3pm shift. Shannon will be assisted by weatherman Mr. G and traffic reporter Joe Nolan. “Not often does a legendary morning drive personality become available with the experience of waking up New Yorkers for more than 25 years,” reads a quote from CBS Radio New York SVP/Market Manager Don Bouloukos in today's annoucnement. “CBS-FM is a heritage station, and the perfect place for Hall Of Famer Scott Shannon. We are thrilled to welcome Scott and his award-winning personality to CBS-FM and the CBS Radio family." (2/25a)
