617 TO 615: The moving trucks have left, and the boxes are stacked high in the brand new offices of Concord-owned Rounder Records, which has just completed its relocation from the roots label’s longtime base of Boston to Nashville. The company’s new HQ is in shopping and entertainment district The Gulch, specifically at 1209 Pine St., Suite 100, Nashville, TN 37203. That means core Rounder artist Alison Krauss can now drive to label meetings. Rounder founders (hey, that rhymes) Ken Irwin, Bill Nowlin and Marian Leighton Levy, who are staying in Beantown, will produce and consult on various projects for the label. "Rounder has always been driven by the music, and we're thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute and be part of the Music City community," reads the quote from Rounder President John Virant. Concord and Rounder have also acquired the Music for Little People label. (3/6p)
