Disciple hires Tilley

MATT IN THE DOOR: U.K. tech company Disciple Media has just announced a key senior appointment on this side of the pond, as Matthew Tilley steps in in to head business development, where he’ll handle deal negotiations and artist-outreach activities on a global basis, Tilley, a 17-year marketing veteran who has worked at PolyGram, UMG International and IDJ, was most recently SVP of International Marketing at EMI. Disciple, which was founded by artist/producer Benji Vaughan, creates artist-branded apps for iOS and Android, providing exclusive content for a monthly fee. “We’re already seeing huge excitement from the creative community about the potential for this technology,” says Tilley, “and I’m looking forward to spreading the word.” Disciple is deep into negotiations with a number of big acts, with the initial set of names expected to be unveiled during the next few weeks.
