#RRHOF, TAKE THREE: Questlove inducted Hall & Oates, who killed fave hits like "She's Gone," "I Can't Go for That" and "You Make My Dreams Come True." Joked Daryl Hall (in reference to the interminable E Street Band speeches), "You're lucky there's only two of us." After being inducted by Michael Stipe, the surviving members of Nirvana delivered their speeches; Courtney Love (whose speech earned some boos, though her hug with Grohl was in itself historic) and Frances Bean joined the band onstage for the induction. "Don't look at the poster on your wall and think, 'Fuck, I could never do that," Dave Grohl enjoined the audience. "Look at the poster on your wall and say, 'Fuck, I'm gonna do that.'" Then Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear were joined by singers Joan Jett, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, St. Vincent and Lorde. The set kicked off with Jett singing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with brio. Gordon sang "Aneurysm," St. Vincent handled "Lithium" and Lorde knocked out "All Apologies." The audience sang along at full voice. A few video snippets can be found here. Of course, you'll be able to see and hear it all in hi-def on HBO at the end of May. (4/10p)
