Jim Richards

INTO THE FOG: Jim Richards has been tapped by Cumulus' Mike McVay to step in as OM/PD of two SF stations, Triple A KFOG and Classic Rock KSAN (The Bone). Richards was previously OM of WLUP (The Loop)  and PoMo outlet WKQX Chicago. His resume also includes stints at L.A.'s Tribune Interactive; San Diego's KIOZ,91X and KGB; KSJO San Jose; and WEBN Cincinnati. For his part, Richards praised the "support and appreciation" of Cumulus' John Dickey, McVay and Corporate PD/Rock Troy Hanson. The latter called Richards' westward migration "a big win" for the company, and plans to welcome the radio veteran back to California in traditional fashion—with a blunt the size of a rolling pin.
