MEN (AND WOMEN) OF TROY: After ending his longtime relationship with Lady Gaga amid some nasty name-calling and ugliness about monies owed, Troy Carter is bouncing back in grand style and validating Scooter Braun for betting a chunk of his insurance company-backed millions on the well-liked manager and technology investor. Carter’s new client John Legend is enjoying a career milestone with his gigantic Columbia single (3.2m and counting), which should catapult him into sold-out arenas around the globe. Add to that the sales on Lindsey Stirling’s new DIY new album and the forthcoming album by RCA’s Miguel, who’s poised for a major breakthrough, and you have the makings of quite a comeback story.
