Tanous hires Mazo

WHERE THERE’S A WILL… Susan Mazo has joined UMG as SVP of Global Communications, with responsibilities including overseeing the company’s global philanthropic efforts, major events and special projects, as well as supporting UMG’s media relations efforts. Her new gig brings Mazo back into proximity to EVP and Head of Global Communications Will Tanous; the two execs worked closely together at Warner Music Group. In his quote, Tanous took note of Mazo’s “creativity, focus and passion for helping artists and the communities in which we operate” and described her as “one of the most thoughtful and impactful executives in music. She’s also a proud Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hen, and promised me a signed Joe Flacco 8x10.” (5/21a)
