Beats World Cup campaign

THE PITCH: Beats has gone all out with its campaign for the new Solo2 with a mini-epic five-minute film tying in the phones with the upcoming World Cup from Brazil. “The Game Before the Game” features high-profile footballers Neymar Jr., Mario Goetze, Daniel Sturridge, Cesc Fabregas, Luis Suarez, Chicharito and Robin Van Persie, among others, with cameos by LeBron James, Serena Williams, Nicki Minaj, Rio Ferdinand, Thierry Henry and ESPN’s Stuart Scott. Beats will roll out several short-form versions of the piece with a series of spots in five languages, with each version highlighting the athletes and rituals that are indigenous to the country in which it airs. The full-length version of the campaign just premiered in its entirety online. And doesn’t the blue Solo2 look cool paired with a white iPhone 5s? The powerful soundtrack is “Jungle” from Jamie N Commons and X Ambassadors; it's on Interscope, of course... Actually, make that KidinaKorner/Interscope.  (6/6a)
