Stax on Broadway

STAX OF MONEY: Concord Music Group and GRAMMY Award-winning producer Stuart Benjamin are developing the a musical production for Broadway based on the legacy of the famed soul label, Stax Records; they're currently aiming for spring 2016. The corresponding book will be written by Matthew Benjamin. As you're undoubtedly aware, the Memphis soul label saw massive success (primarily in the '60s) with a rough-hewn alternative to Motown, spawning hits from Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Booker T. & the M.G.'s and many more.
