Bandier on Gerson

MARTY WISHES JODY WELL: Sony/ATV Chairman/CEO Marty Bandier has issued a statement about Jody Gerson’s appointment as Chairman/CEO of UMPG. "I couldn't be prouder of Jody, and I will be sorry to see her go,” he said. “I have worked with her for many years, firstly when I ran EMI Music Publishing and for the last six years at Sony/ATV and have seen her grow into one of the most successful and influential executives in the business. I wish her all the best for the future." Sony/ATV also noted that an “international search” has begun for Gerson’s replacement. In the interim, SVP Business & Legal Affairs Jonas Kant and VP A&R Jennifer Knoepfle will jointly run the L.A. office. In addition to Bandier, Guy Moot, MD of the U.K.company, and Co-President/East Coast head Danny Strick will be available to the West Coast team for input on A&R matters. (8/1a)
