THE DEATH OF PRINT JOURNALISM, PART 9,623: Grand Hustle/Def Jam's breakout Aussie rapper, Iggy Azalea, graces the cover of our most recent magazine. But not even being associated with us is going to slow down the statuesque star. On the heels of her smash "Fancy," she's enjoying another hit, "Black Widow" (featuring Rita Ora) and building her brand as a VIP guest star on several other biggies (notably Ariana Grande's "Problem" and T.I.'s "No Mediocre." Iggy's fame and fortune testifies to the persistence of Steve Bartels and team, though they may wish they'd been def to our requests to put her on the cover of our rag.

Meanwhile, Capitol Music Group chief Steve Barnett is our latest Contents page VIP. Barnett and team come out of the second annual Capitol Congress confab on a very high note, having built an aggressive label beast in just over 18 months, scoring a huge #1 album-chart bow with 5 Seconds of Summer, and racking up a strong 7.4 YTD marketshare with TEA. This follows the big, growing Sam Smith story, which leads directly to Grammy night, among other glowing successes. Morale at the Tower is sky-high, and Barnett's shrewd, motivational leadership is key. Though we imagine his Congess will want this HITS Contents shout-out impeached. (8/4p)
