RIP Robin Williams

ROBIN WILLIAMS, Oscar-, Emmy-, Grammy- and Golden Globe-winning actor and comedian, was found dead at his Marin County home today; he was 63. The star of Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, The Fisher King and countless other films, as well as decades of TV starting with Mork & Mindy and ending with The Crazy Ones, had been battling depression; his death is reportedly being investigated as a suicide. A statement from Williams' wife, Susan Schneider, reads, "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions." We're bummed out. If you're battling depression, please get help. Tributes have been pouring in; one of our favorites, from comedian Paul F. Tompkins, is here. (8/11p)
