WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES: What looked yesterday like another race for #1 (see story) has developed into what appears today to be a decisive win for Columbia's Barbra Streisand over RCA's Chris Brown. Based on one-day reads, we’re calling Babs at around 160k (not far off the 180k bow of her last proper album, 2009's Love Is the Answer), giving her a lead of 20-25k over Breezy. It's worth noting, however, that Brown's album is headed for #1 in TEA and would also top the consumption chart if it were in place. With next week’s chart-topping album, Streisand will have scored a #1 album in six consecutive decades. Off the top of our head, we can’t think of any other artist who can make that claim. Can you?
