YOUR WEEKLY MARKETSHARE SCORECARD: We expected the frontline finish to be as close as the top three sellers on the HITS Top 50 Album Sales Chart, separated by less than 3k, but as you can see, Columbia has scored a resounding win, even without deriving a share of the Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga chart-topper commensurate with its piece of the action. The primary contributor was, of course, Barbra Streisand, whose roll continues in week two, but Team Stringer got a smooth assist from 80-year-old hipster Leonard Cohen, whose Popular Problems debuted with a solid 23k. You can bet that the weekly TEA competition will be tighter than this, for reasons we’ll go into tomorrow morning. (10/1a)
