Prince on SNL 11/1

U BETTER SET UR DVR: Prince has been announced as the musical guest on the 11/1 edition of SNL; it’ll be his third appearance on the show. He’ll bring along his latest combo, 3RDEYEGIRL—guitarist Donna Grantis, drummer Hannah Ford Welton and bassist Ida Nielsen—who back him on the new Plectrumelectrum, released simultaneously with the all-Prince Art Official Age on 9/30 on Warner Bros. SNL alumnus Chris Rock (who pays tribute to the Purple One in the right-hand pic above) will host. (10/14p)
