Chertoff to RCA A&R

DAN’S THE (NEW) MAN: RCA has brought in Dan Chertoff as a VP in the label’s A&R department, reporting to CEO Peter Edge and SVP A&R David Wolter. For the last five years, Chertoff did A&R at Canvasback Music, the imprint launched and headed by former RCA A&R exec Steve Ralbovsky (Kings of Leon, Ray LaMontagne), where he signed alt-J and The Orwells. Edge lauds Chertoff’s “fantastic taste,” while Wolter cites his “knowledge, work ethic and impeccable taste.” Chertoff is excited about getting to work with Edge, Tom Corson and Wolter at “such a historic, iconic label,” and having the "amazing opportunity" to feed Nipper dog treats.
