XL/Columbia multi-Grammy nominee Adele’s 21 adds another 145k to its total at #2, now approaching 5 million in its 41st week with no end in sight.
Island/IDJ’s Justin Bieber rounds out the Top 3 with Under the Mistletoe moving another 140k, bringing its cumulative total close to 700k.
YM/CM/Universal Republic’s Drake album, Take Care (#4) and last week’s chart-topping Roadrunner Canuck rockers Nickelback’s Here and Now (#5) round out the leader board.
Geffen’s Mary J. Blige (#6), Def Jam/IDJ’s Rihanna (#7), Decca’s Andrea Bocelli Concerto Live in Central Park album (#17-8, +13%), Capitol/EMI’s Now 40 (#9) and Coldplay (#10) complete the Top 10.
American Gramophone’s Mannheim Steamroller (#17), Atlantic’s Trey Songz (#24) and IMO/RCA’s Hot Chelle Rae (#48) are the new chart entries, while Merge’s Very She & Him Christmas (#20), Capitol/EMI’s Now Christmas 4 (#29), Big Machine’s Taylor Swift Holiday Collection (#45), Reprise’s Josh Groban (#47) and Capitol/EMI’s Katy Perry (#48) all re-enter.
Holiday titles dominated the week’s double-digit gainers, with Decca’s Andrea Bocelli album My Christmas leading the way, moving #45-18, +46%, followed by Provident’s Casting Crowns (#47-21, +40%), Columbia’s Tony Bennett (#44-25, +15%) and Jackie Evancho (#31-13, +14%), along with XL/Columbia’s Adele 19 album (#49-28, +11%).
Hitting retail this week are Nonesuch’s The Black Keys, Universal Republic’s Amy Winehouse, Nappy Boy/RCA’s T-Pain, Epic’s Chevelle, Roadrunner’s Korn, Interscope’s Robin Thicke, Def Jam/IDJ’s The Roots and Columbia’s Glee Cast Vol. 7.
