T-Pain, Chevelle and VV Brown are the latest additions to HITS’ Sweet Sixteen of new and developing artists on the verge of breakthroughs, according to this week’s chart.
Rapper/producer/autotune maven T-Pain’s fourth Happy Boy/RCA studio release, Revolver, comes out on Dec. 6, with the first single, “5 o’Clock,” already wowing Urban and Crossover PDs, with Top 40 also climbing aboard. Chicago-based alt-metal rockers Chevelle’s sixth studio LP, and fifth for Epic, is slated for release Dec. 6, with the first single, “Face to the Floor,” already added at both PoMo and Active stations ahead of next week’s official add date, including heavy hitters like KROQ already aboard.
