Album Will Hit iTunes Store Aug. 8, Tour to Follow

The self-proclaimed music icons and pop culture visionaries have formed a group called The Throne and confirm the most anticipated album and touring event of the year, Watch the Throne.

The duo's Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam/Roc Nation collaboration, Watch the Throne, will be available worldwide exclusive at iTunes on August 8. The album is already #4 on the Apple chart in pre-orders.

On the same day, tickets will be made available to the public for the "Watch the Throne" tour(powered by VoyR) at www.Ticketmaster.com and www.LiveNation.com. All fans who purchase their tickets online will receive a digital copy of the album. The Live Nation produced tour will begin on Sept. 22 in Detroit with 24 dates confirmed thus far.

Fans can get the lead track, “Otis," the duo's collaboration over an Otis Redding sample of "Try a Little Tenderness," instantly when they pre-order the deluxe album exclusively on iTunes at http://idj.to/watchthethronedlxit. The album will be available at additional physical and digital retailers on August 12.

Beginning Thursday (7/28), fans that visit www.LiveNation.com/WatchTheThrone will have access to presale tickets, which includes a digital copy of the album. For complete presale details, visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

The longtime friends recorded in person at various locations around the world, including London and Bath in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Paris and New York City. The album features production from The RZA, The Neptunes and Kanye’s longtime collaborator Mike Dean. The list of featured vocals includes Frank Ocean, Beyoncé, Curtis Mayfield and Mr. Hudson.

In "Otis," the two MCs trade couplets over the Redding sample. "Sounds so soulful, don’t you agree?” asks Jay-Z, and the two launch into a treatise on swagger and claiming their rightful place at the top. “Otis” can be streamed at watchthethrone.com/otis.

The "Watch the Throne" tour hits East Rutherford, NJ's Izod Center on Sept. 27 and 28, with the pair playing L.A.'s Staples Center Oct. 19 and 20.
