IT’S A WEEK TO REMEMBER FOR A DAY TO REMEMBER, PETE YORN

Both Acts Enter HITS Vibe-Rater Chart with a Buzz

A Victory Records rock band and a young veteran singer-songwriter are the newest entries on HITSVibe-Raters round-up of current picks to click.

Tony Brummel’s Chicago-based indie label has an impressive hit on their hands with “All I Want,” the first single from Ocala, FL metalcore/pop-punk rockers A Day to Remember’s fourth studio album, What Separates Me From You, which hits retail Nov. 16. The track’s already #1 Most Requested at L.A. powerhouse KROQ, with adds coming in fast and furious from KFRQ, KHTQ, WARQ, WKRL, WRRV, WXXJ and KRBZ, among many others. A U.S. tour kicks off Nov. 2 through the end of December with European dates to follow. The band enters the Vibe-Raters chart this week at #9. For a full rundown, go here.

Shaggy-haired heartthrob tunesmith Pete Yorn is back with a self-titled debut release for new label Vagrant, which came out Sept. 28. The first single, “Rock Crowd,” is just starting out at Triple A and PoMo, with KBZT already aboard. A string of TV appearances at Ellen, Fallon and Leno, will be followed with a Live from the Fonda performance video in post for MTV high-def channel Palladia. After an appearance at the Austin City Limits festival last week, Yorn has stateside dates set for early next year. For more, click here.
