Lil Wayne's much-delayed Tha Carter IV is almost here. The MC confirmed to MTV News the fourth installment of his best-selling series will drop on August 29.
Tha Carter III, which dropped in June 2008, sold more than a million copies in its first week, winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album, selling more than 3.5 million domestically. Tha Carter was released in 2004, and went on to sell 878k copies in the U.S., while the follow-up, Tha Carter II, hit in 2005, and sold more than 1.4 million in the States.
Tha Carter IV will include Weezy's ballad to the ladies, "How to Love," which he admits was inspired by the late Tupac Shakur.
"That song is just sweeping the world. It's touching every woman, that's what it was for,"
Sorry for the Wait is expected to come out within the next 24 hours.
