EMINEM, LADY ANTEBELLUM, JUSTIN BIEBER DOMINATE AMA NOMS

Eminem and Lady Antebellum have the year’s two best-selling albums, so it’s no surprise they also lead the pack for the 38 th Annual American Music Awards, with five nominations apiece.

The live broadcast will take place at the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live in Sunday, Nov. 21, from 8-11 p.m. on ABC.

After Eminem and Lady Antebellum, Justin Bieber follows with four nominations, while B.o.B, Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Usher collected three apiece.

Eminem is joined by Bieber, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry for Artist of the Year.

The nominees were announced by Demi Lovato and Taio Cruz this morning from the JW Marriott L.A.. Live.

Initial announced performers include Bon Jovi, P!nk and Usher.

For the fourth year, winners will be determined by online voting at the official Coca-Cola voting location www.amavote.com as well as ama.abc.com.

Music fans will again be able to vote for the T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award via T-Mobile text messaging or at ama.abc.com.

The first round of voting today (10/12) through Friday, October 22. fans will be able to determine who will make up the final award nominees from the list of artists available at ama.abc.com. The top four artists with the highest votes from the first round of voting will be the final award nominees of the T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist Award. Voting for the award winner will begin October 25 and conclude during the American Music Awards on November 21.

For the first time, the nominees were selected from BigChampagne's Ultimate Chart rather than Billboard, ranking the most popular artists and songs based on a weighted combination of music sales, radio and TV broadcast, Internet streaming and video viewing, with additional online metrics, including social media activity.
