Hitting retail this week and exploding is Roc-a-Fella/ Roc Nation’s Watch the Throne album with Jay-Z and Kanye West, which should do well over 500k and easily debut at #1 next Tuesday.

A DOZEN FOR ADELE

That's 12 Weeks at #1 for Adele, as Trace Adkins, Mat Kearney, Victorious All Debut in Top 10
For the 12th week in what has been a remarkable streak, XL/Columbia diva Adele’s 21 returns to #1, adding another 77k to the total, now at 2.9 million heading for 3.

That’s enough to top last week’s chart-topper, Capitol Nashville country artist Eric Church’s Chief, which drops to #2.

Show Dog’s Trace Adkins is the week’s top newcomer, debuting at #3 with Proud to Be Here, which scores 46k, just ahead of veteran Universal Republic singer/songwriter Mat Kearney, whose Young Love bows at #4, thanks to the rising Triple A and Hot AC hit “Hey Mama.” Nickelodeon/Columbia’s Victorious soundtrack is the other new entry at #5.

Broken Bow’s resilient Jason Aldean album, My Kinda Party, continues chugging along at #6, followed by Razor & Tie’s Kidz Bop 20 (#7), Columbia’s Beyonce (#8), Warner Bros. Nashville’s Blake Shelton (#9) and Interscope’s Lady Gaga (#10).

Other Top 50 debuts are registered by Wind-up’s O.A.R. (#11) and Geffen’s Greyson Chance (#22), while A&M/Octone’s Maroon 5 (#38), Columbia’s Journey Greatest Hits album (#41) and Universal Republic’s Florence & the Machine (#47) all re-enter the chart. The Maroon 5 activity is being fueled by the band's hit single, "Moves Like Jagger," with Christina Aguilera, featured on NBC's The Voice, as well as performances on The Today Show and America's Got Talent.

Leading double-digit gainer of the week is Startime/Columbia’s Foster the People (#27-19, +25%), followed by Disney’s Shake It Up, Break It Down soundtrack (#37-32, +16%), Big Machine’s Taylor Swift (#31-27, +12%), Capitol/EMI’s Now 38 ((#22-17, +10%) and YM/CM/Universal Republic’s Nicki Minaj (#36-34, +10%).

Hitting retail this week and exploding is Roc-a-Fella/ Roc Nation’s Watch the Throne album with Jay-Z and Kanye West, which should do well over 500k and easily debut at #1 next Tuesday. Also on tap are Capitol/EMI’s Now 39, Capitol Nashville’s Luke Bryan, Asylum’s Gucci Mane & Waka Flocka Flame, IDJ’s Ace Hood, Columbia’s Glee: The 3D Concert Movie soundtrack and Gracie’s Royce Da 5’9”.
