EMINEM’S ENCORE

Camp Rock 2, Black Label Society, Blake Shelton and Mike Posner All Debut in Top 10
For the sixth time in his first eight weeks, Eminem tops the HITS Top 50 Album chart, as his Shady/Aftermath/ Interscope release Recovery is once more #1, with 131k in sales.

That sends the album over the 2.1 million total, with Capitol Nashville/EMI’s Lady Antebellum clearly in its sights as the year’s top seller at more than 2.5 million.

Merge Records indie darlings Arcade Fire, last week’s #1 on that other chart, are #2, with 50k added to a two-week total now over 200k.

Debuts dominate the rest of the Top 5, with Walt Disney’s Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam soundtrack (#3), E1 Music’s Black Label Society, featuring guitar god Zakk Wylde (#4) and Warner Bros. Nashville’s Blake Shelton (#5) rounding out the top of the chart.

Island/IDJ’s Justin Bieber (#6) is up next, followed by J Records/RMG singer/ songwriter Mike Posner, bowing at #7, with Def Jam/IDJ’s Rick Ross (#8), Razor & Tie’s Kidz Bop 18 (#9, +114%) and Warner Bros.Avenged Sevenfold (#10) completing the Top 10.

The other Top 50 newcomer is ABKCO’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World soundtrack (#26), while both Columbia’s Glee Journey to Regionals (#44) and Mercury’s Taio Cruz (#48) re-enter.

Biggest gainer is Monkeywrench’s Eat Pray Love soundtrack, featuring Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, which moves #44-16, +120%, after the Julia Roberts movie opened wide last Friday.

Other double-digit moves are registered by Glassnote’s surging Mumford & Sons (#32-21, +30%) and Atlantic’s Step Up 3D soundtrack (#38-29, +22%).

Streeting this week are Universal Motown’s KEM, RCA/RED’s Ray LaMontagne, Showdog Nashville’s Trace Adkins, Columbia’s Iron Maiden, Rounder’s John Mellencamp, Downtown’s David Gray, Disney Pearl’s Brian Wilson/George Gershwin tribute and Rocket Science’s Filter.
