EDGE CEO, CORSON PRESIDENT/ COO AT RCA MUSIC GROUP

Veteran Execs Part of Doug Morris' Sony Music Reorg
The Doug Morris era at Sony Music kicks into high gear with the announcement of Peter Edge and Tom Corson grabbing major roles at RCA Music Group.

Edge has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, while Corson has been named President/ Chief Operating Officer of the group, which is now comprised of RCA, Jive, J and Arista along with their affiliate labels.

Edge will report to Morris and oversee the day-to-day operations.

Formerly President, A&R, RCA Music Group, since 2007, Edge has been a leading A&R executive over the last 15 years. During his RMG tenure, which began with the inception of J Records, he has signed multi-platinum and platinum artists including Alicia Keys, Dido, Mario and Jamie Foxx. Edge has recently been working on developing the careers of Pitbull and Mike Posner as well as promising new artists Jazmine Sullivan and Marsha Ambrosius.

Edge began his A&R career working with some of the industry’s leading pioneers, including Chrysalis Records founders Chris Wright and Doug D'Arcy, Warner Bros.’ Mo Ostin and Lenny Waronker, as well as former President of Black Music Benny Medina, and later, Arista and J Records founder Clive Davis.

As President/COO, Corson will report to Edge and oversee promotion, marketing, publicity, digital, sales, international, video and operations for the label group.

Corson was most recently EVP/GM for RCA Music Group, and has been with the company since J’s inception in 2000. Corson has played a leading role in the successes of Kings of Leon, Rod Stewart, Ke$ha, Foo Fighters, Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull and Jennifer Hudson, among others.
