BMG LABEL GROUP RE-ORGANIZES BUSINESS, LEGAL AFFAIRS, FINANCE, PRODUCTION

Zucker, Silver, Kuster, Anderson Earn Stripes in Re-structure
BMG Label Group, which includes RCA Music Group and Zomba Label Group, announced the formation of centralized Business and Legal Affairs, Finance and Production departments, an outgrowth of Barry Weiss’ ascension to the BMG N.A. throne earlier this year.

Dan “In Real Life” Zucker is now EVP Business and Legal Affairs, Cliff “Hi-O” Silver SVP Finance and Gerry Kuster “Last Stand” VP Production, all reporting to BMG Label Group COO Ivan Gavin, based in the company’s New York headquarters. In addition, Bob Anderson has taken over sole leadership of the sales department.

Zucker will have business and legal affairs responsibility for the RCA Music Group and Zomba Label Group, including Jive, RCA, J, LaFace, Arista, Volcano, Verity, GospoCentric and Fo Yo Soul labels. Zucker has been a part of the Zomba Label Group since 1992, when he came on board as Sr. Director of Business Affairs.

Silver will now manage the day-to-day financial operations for BMG Label. He has been a part of the Zomba team since becoming SVP Finance in 2006. Previously, he held the same title at RCA Music Group. He spent 13 years at Sony Music where he held several finance and operations positions including Epic Records Group SVP Group Operations. Alan Newham will reportedly remain within the Sony BMG in a role to be announced shortly.

Kuster will oversee the daily operations of production as well as the archive department. He has been with the Zomba Label Group since 1994, most recently as VP Production since 1996. Prior to joining Zomba, he worked for seven years at Arista.

Bob Anderson will now solely manage the BMG Label Group Sales Department. He has been a part of the Zomba Label Group as SVP Sales since 2004.

Kevin Twitchell, who had been running the department in partnership with Anderson, will remain within the Sony BMG organization in a new capacity.
