This week's chart-topper, Jonas Brothers' Hollywood Records album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, will now duke it out with Black Eyed Peas' Interscope release, The E.N.D., #1 two weeks ago, for the honor.
WEA will have the week's Top 5 debuts, all falling in the 30-45k range. Warner Bros' Regina Spektor and Asylum's Ginuwine top the list, both in the 40-45k range, with Roadrunner's Dream Theater and The Mars Volta's WB label debut next at 35-40k apiece.
WB's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack is on track to do between 30-35k, though, with the movie opening today, it could go even higher over the weekend.
Universal Music Latino's Paulina Rubio is up next at 10-15k
The market was up 6% vs. last week, down 19% vs. same week last year and now down 15% year to date.
Man, that $1.92 million verdict couldn't have come at a better time for the RIAA.
