The 12-week program will cover topics such as artist management, radio promotion, online marketing, touring, e-commerce, publishing, synch licensing, and A&R, among others, with the aim to provide a refreshingly honest and frank look at the ways in which leading executives, managers, artists, and marketers will need to prepare themselves to do business in the rapidly changing and evolving world of today’s music business.
Connecting the old with the new, The Music Industry Now is a no-nonsense program that tackles the myriad challenges facing today’s industry as it moves from an old world physical business to a next-generation digital one.
Jampol, Beer, Sturges, and Dorn will work together each week, while also taking turns leading topics of discussion and speaking with industry leaders regarding their individual areas of expertise.
The Music Industry Now also offers access on a weekly basis to hear directly from and interact with some of the most important, innovative, and powerful executives, managers, and marketers in the recorded and live entertainment fields today.

Enrollment is open to anyone, and students will receive four units of credit towards a UCLA certificate in Entertainment Studies and Performing Arts with a passing grade. The fee for the program is $595 and space is limited to only 300 students. For more information, click here.
